Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting foreign OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Who Killed Sara S3’, ‘Love, Death & Robots S3’, ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman S4’, and ‘Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers’, to name a few.
Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up for release. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top foreign titles streaming on Indian OTT platforms from this week.
Welcome to Wedding Hell (Streaming on Netflix from 23rd May)
The South Korea romantic drama series revolves around a soon-to-be-married couple Seo Joon-Hyung (Lee Jin-Wook) and Kim Na-Eun (Lee Yeon-Hee). They are in their 30s and are busy with the preparations for their big wedding day. But the task turns out to be more demanding than they had ever imagined as they face multiple problems while organizing their wedding.
Prehistoric Planet (Streaming on Apple TV Plus from 23rd May)
Narrated by David Attenborough with Jon Favreau as the showrunner, it’s a five-part documentary series which revolves around the lives of dinosaurs 66 million years ago as they roamed around the planet.
Stranger Things Season 4 (Streaming on Netflix from 27th May)
The upcoming season of the sci-fi horror series would follow the aftereffects of the devastating Battle of Starcourt at the Hawkins town in Indiana. The show’s young protagonists are now living separately and trying to move on in their lives. At this juncture, a long-buried, supernatural threat that connects everything, emerges on Earth and the Upside Down. The fourth season will be released in two parts. First volume comprising seven episodes will be released on 27th May while the second volume with two episodes will come out on 1st July.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 27th May)
The six-part show’s story is set ten years after ‘Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith’. Ewan McGregor reprises his role as the titular Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who now lives under a solitary existence, in exile, on the deserted Tatooine planet. The warrior must get over his defeat after Anakin Skywalker went on a dark path as the formidable antagonist Darth Vader.
Emergency (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 27th May)
The comedy-drama movie follows the misadventures of two close friends Kunle and Sean who are excited for a night of party-hopping. However, their plan takes a backseat when they find an unknown young white female in their apartment in a semi-conscious state. Their roommate Carlos does not know anything about it. Now, they must decide whether to call the cops or take the girl somewhere safe.
