This Week’s Top Indian OTT Releases: An Action Hero, 18 Pages Etc

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such as ‘Mission Majnu’, ‘Dhamaka’, ‘Kaapa’, and ‘Jhansi Season-2’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

Black Sunshine Baby (Streaming on Netflix from 24th January)

Helmed by Nilesh Maniyar, the documentary film focuses on the life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary and her battle with an immune disorder and terminal illness.

Ayali (Streaming on Zee5 from 26th January)

The social drama web series revolves around a teenage girl named Tamizhselvi (played by Abhinayashree), who aspires to become a doctor. But her village Veerappannai follows an age-old practice of not educating the women and getting them married at a very young age.

Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke (Streaming on Zee5 from 26th January)

The action thriller web series features Regina Cassandra in the role of a reputed IPS officer Kavya Iyer, who must prove her mettle after she is made the main investigator in an ISIS-K bomb attack case.

An Action Hero (Streaming on Netflix from 27th January)

The action-drama movie features Ayushmann Khurrana as a Bollywood superstar and action hero Maanav, whose glamorous life takes a drastic turn after the accidental death of the brother of a Municipal Councillor (Jaideep Ahlawat) in Haryana.

18 Pages (Streaming on Netflix, Aha Video from 27th January)

The romantic drama movie follows an application developer named Sidhu, who goes into depression after he learns about his girlfriend’s disloyalty. That’s when he gets hold of a diary written by a woman named Nandhini and he begins to fall in love with her.

Saturday Night (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 27th January)

Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film’s story follows four close friends named Stanley, Sunil, Justin, and Ajith who go their separate ways after an unpleasant incident. But years later, the childhood friends reunite in the most unexpected way.

Raangi (Streaming on Netflix from 29th January)

The action thriller movie stars Trisha as a Chennai-based online news reporter, who is used as bait by the FBI in order to track and bring into their custody a Libyan boy named Aalim.
