This Week’s Top Indian OTT Releases: Dr. Arora, F3 & More

Last week was marked with the arrival of some exciting Indian OTT titles including several films and web series such ‘Jaadugar’, ‘Shoorveer’, ‘Comicstaan S3’, ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’, ‘Maa Neela Tank’, and ‘Vaashi’, to name a few.

Likewise, the current week too has some eagerly anticipated OTT films and web series coming up. For this article, we have compiled a list of the top Indian titles streaming on OTT platforms this week.

Doon Kaand (Streaming on Voot Select from 18th July)

Set in the scenic Uttarakhand, the investigative revenge thriller series follows the story of senior cop Arvind Rawat, who is the SSP of the State. The cop must face a formidable enemy Paresh as he desperately tries to save his own family which is in danger. Helmed by Manoj Khade, the show features Iqbal Khan, Donal Bisht, Indraneil Sengupta, Karamveer Mehra and Nidhi Seth in important roles.

Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi (Streaming on Netflix from 20th July)

The bone-chilling true crime docuseries is based on the investigation around a series of gruesome killings by a cold-blooded murderer who was apparently disgruntled with the system and left taunting notes alongside his victims’ bodies outside a Delhi jail.

Parampara Season-2 (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 21st July)

Essentially a good vs evil story, it’s an intense family drama series that revolves around two brothers – the business tycoon Nagendra Naidu (Sarath Kumar) and his brother and right-hand man Mohan Rao (Jagapathi Babu). How the latter’s son Gopi decides to stand up against his powerful and oppressive uncle and reveal his true nature forms the rest of the show’s plot.

Dr. Arora (Streaming on SonyLIV from 22nd July)

The eight-part comedy drama series features veteran actor Kumud Mishra as the titular protagonist Dr. Arora, a small-town doctor who deals with the problems of men and women pertaining to their sex lives.

F3: Fun and Frustration (Streaming on Netflix, SonyLIV from 22nd July)

The film is a standalone sequel to the box-office hit F2, which came out in 2019. Like F2, ‘F3: Fun and Frustration’ has been helmed by Anil Ravipudi and features Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah, and Mehreen Pirzada. The film is about these group of scamsters who are always looking to make some easy money, but things do not go as they had planned.

Ghar Waapsi (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 22nd July)

The show’s plot revolves around a man named Shekhar (played by Vishal Vashishtha), who comes back to his hometown Indore after two years, after getting fired from his lucrative job in Bengaluru. Things go well in the beginning but how long can Shekhar keep the terrible news a secret from his own family.

Meme Boys (Streaming on SonyLIV from 22nd July)

Directed by Arun Koushik, the eight-episode Tamil language series follows the story of four friends Jumbo, Power, Mojo, and Julie and how they launch a meme centric social media page called Meme Boys. Initially started in a humorous tone, the page unexpectedly creates a revolution of sorts in their college and soon makes them a target of the college administration.

Pathaam Valavu (Streaming on Manorama Max from 22nd July)

A police SI Sethu (Indajith Sukumaran) is given the task to catch a murder convict Soloman (Suraj Venjaramoodu), who failed to report after his parole ended. He succeeds in nabbing Soloman but on their way back, the cop learns about Soloman’s disturbing story.

Nodi Swamy Ivanu Irode Heege (Streaming on Zee5 from 22nd July)

The black comedy film follows the story of Sai Kumar, who goes into depression and wants to take his own life after a break-up with his lover, thereby leading to an amusing turn of events of injustice.

Sher Bhagga (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 24th July)

It’s a comedy drama film that revolves around a simple man named Shera, who undertakes a journey to meet his lover. But before that, he encounters a woman Gulab, and they end up getting intimate. What happens next form the rest of the film’s plot.
