Indian web series are less popular in India than foreign web series. The reason is, a lot of them are not as innovative and engaging as the audience expects them to be. However, choices can always be subjective.
But there are a few series that are filled with a cringe. In those series, the subjectivity of good content versus cringe is so prominent that not more than a handful of them stand on the good content line.
In this list, we will talk about five such series that were so unworthy that we wished we could just unsee them.
This Netflix series is based on a French TV series called, Call My Agent! The original series has a cult following and it is still watched on a large basis.
However, this Indian adaptation turned out to be so bad that it simply did not make any sense. It is terrible and simply not worth any time.
This soft porn series premieres on Alt Balaji. Although it is highly controversial, people don’t accept watching it in public. But, it is one of the most-watched series in India.
Regardless, the fact this cringe-worthy series is even continuing for 6 seasons is ample proof of how successful this can be.
3. Bang Baang
This series starred Mr Faisu and Ruhi Singh. It streamed on Zee5 and Alt Balaji. This series consisted of 10 episodes and was filled with nonsensical stories and climaxes. It had some torturous acting performance and direction.
2. Indori Ishq
This series is also available to stream on MX Player. It has 9 episodes in total. Comedy-drama is an evergreen genre. People of all ages have showered their love on it. But, if it becomes cliched then nobody really wants to watch them. This series is just like that. This is so poorly executed that we just wish we could unsee.
This series is based on Ramayana. The epic story of Shri Ram rescuing Mother Seeta is something we all bow down to. Even today, watching the 1980s Ramayana by Ramanand Sagar is a divine experience.
But this series streaming on MX Player is so poorly executed that it becomes unbearable to watch. Poor VFX, wrong selection of actors and terrible performance was simply not worth it.
After watching our epic getting so badly filmed, we just wish it wasn’t even made let alone seeing it.
