Looks like Disney Plus Hotstar has a hit on its hands in the hotly anticipated Akshay Kumar starrer, Laxmmi Bomb. The platform dropped the Laxmmi Bomb trailer today, and if it is all that the trailer promises, the movie seems like a surefire winner.
The trailer of Laxmmi Bomb is fast-paced, edge-of-the-seat and compelling. Packed into the 3&1/2 minute runtime of the trailer are montages of sequences that are equally humorous as they are terrifying. Akshay Kumar’s transformation from Aasif, a young man hoping to win the hand of his lady love, played by Kiara Advani, to a man possessed by the spirit of a transgender Laxmi, is fascinating. Akshay nails the role of a transgender like only he can. Laxmmi Bomb is a story of revenge, peppered with horror and comedy, that is bound to engage and entertain Akshay Kumar fans.
Laxmmi Bomb brims with the winning combination of horror and comedy, leveraged exceptionally well in the 2018 hit Stree. Ayesha Raza Mishra and Rajesh Sharma add to the fun and hilarity in the trailer. The trailer has left one crucial thing in suspense though – the back story of Laxmi, whose spirit possesses Aasif in a quest for revenge. It will be a revelation to discover that, and also how Laxmi gets her revenge through Akshay Kumar’s character.
Laxmmi Bomb has been written and directed by Raghava Lawrence, who had also directed its Tamil original, Muni 2: Kanchana. Laxmmi Bomb has been produced by Akshay Kumar, under his production house
Cape of Good Films; Tusshar Kapoor, under his Tusshar Entertainment House; Shabina Khan, under her company
Shabinaa Entertainment; and Fox Star Studios.
