Famous novelist detective thriller was the fodder for movie lovers more than a decade back. The reason for it was a trendsetting director showing his interest in making it as a film with a young star.
The novelist is Madhu Babu, and the detective series is Shadow. The trendsetting director is none other than Puri Jagannadh. He has expressed his interest to make a movie on Shadow around the time of Bujjigadu (2008). Later, the buzz surfaced after a year and with a different star.
However, Shadow failed to take off and the reason for the same is not known.
Finally, a decade later, Madhu Babu’s Shadow is back to create a buzz in Telugu movie circles. There is a twist, here, though. The novel is now getting web treatment. Yes, Shadow is planned a web series.
Top producer Anil Sunkara’s AK Entertainments banner is making its debut in the digital space with AK Originals. It is dubbed as India’s biggest novel franchise to be turned into a visual series. Madhu Babu has given his nod for the same.
