Noted South Indian actress Trisha is set to venture into OTT with her maiden web series that has been titled Brinda. The web series was officially announced today, marking the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. This series is touted to be a crime investigation thriller drama, a genre largely popular among OTT audiences. Trisha plays the central role in ‘Brinda’.
The web series will be streamed on Sony Liv. The OTT platform intends to expand its footprint in the twin Telugu states with more exclusive Telugu content. They are hoping to get off to a good start with Trisha’s ‘Brinda’ now. Noted production designer Avinash Kolla is turning producer with this series. He is producing the series in association with his brother Ashish Kolla. Apart from producing ‘Brinda’, Avinash will also be operating as its production designer.
A newcomer named Surya Vangala is making his directorial debut with this series. He is said to have impressed Trisha with his crime investigative subject. Shakti Kanth Karthick is composing the music. More details about the cast and crew will be out in the days to follow.
Other senior actresses like Kajal, Tamannaah, and Samantha have ventured into the OTT market. Barring Samantha, who tasted credible success with The Family Man 2, no other mainstream South Indian actress has made it big in the OTT. Now, Trisha looks set to test her luck with the same. Will she be able to make a promising OTT debut with Brinda? We have to wait and watch.
