Celebrated director Meghna Gulzar is returning to the big screens with Vicky Kaushal. Just like her previous film “Raazi”, this one too is set on the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The movie reunites her with Raazi star Vicky Kaushal. If you remember then Vicky Kaushal had a minor but important role in Raazi, as the movie was led by Alia Bhatt.
Regardless, as Raazi talked about a female spy working in Pakistan, Sam Bahadur is about the Indian Army head General Sam Manekshaw.
If you are unaware then General Sam Manekshaw was the hero of the 1971 war where he strategized the war. It ultimately led to the defeat of the Pakistani army and also the formation of Bangladesh.
His thick mustache and captivating persona also aided in the amazing man he was. Vicky Kaushal is portraying him and it is undoubtedly a humongous challenge for the actor. The makers have revealed the release date with a sort of glimpse where we can see Vicky Kaushal from behind. He is in a uniform and is walking in the typical style of General Sam Manekshaw.
