Vijay’s ‘Master’ was in the news since last year for many reasons but the foremost was the uncertainty around its release platform. There were questions that will the movie be arriving on an OTT platform or will be screened at the theatres. There was a strong news that Amazon Prime Video purchased the digital rights of ‘Master’ for a hefty sum and it was just a matter of time before the movie was made public.
But the makers clarified that ‘Master’ will only be released in theatres as it was the movie which could possibly rejuvenate the silver screens. And that only happened as Vijay’s presence helped the movie to gross more than 200 crores since it’s release. Now since the movie was released on 13th January 2021, there has been an ongoing tussle between the fans of Vijay and Amazon Prime Video over the OTT release date of the movie.
While there have been several news blogs which have given a date for the release of Master on Prime, there still isn’t any official information from the streaming giant itself. The said release date by many websites is 12-13th February 2021 and it is almost confirmed that the movie will be arriving on the second week of February. Its just that Amazon Prime Video have delayed their future endeavours due to the ongoing controversies and hence there is no news regarding the OTT release date of Master.
Fans, daily ask Amazon Prime Video for an exact date but Prime Video isn’t revealing anything as of now. One might wonder that the announcement will soon enough be made in the coming week. And as far as release date is concerned, Master is supposed to arrive on Prime Video in the second week of February 2021.
