Money Heist Season 5 Part 1 – Netflix Original Series
This has got to be on the must-watch list of every digital viewer this weekend. The first part of the much-awaited finale season of Spanish heist drama Money Heist has just dropped on Netflix. The motley gang of thieves is holed up in the Bank Of Spain, and for the first time ever, is without the guidance of the Professor. It is a fight to the finish for them.
SAS: Rise Of The Black Swan – Netflix Original film
It is an action thriller and hijack drama is centred on a group of ruthless mercenaries led by terrorist leader Grace Lewis (Ruby Rose), who call themselves the Black Swans, and their hijacking a train to fulfil a dangerous motive. Unluckily for them, they are faced with a tough hurdle – highly trained special forces operative Tom (Sam Heughan) is traveling on the same train, and he’s not letting them get away with their ulterior plan.
Thimmarusu – Telugu film
It is a crime thriller and courtroom drama. A waiter is convicted for a murder, and jailed. Eight years later, a young upcoming lawyer (Satyadev) realises that the man has been framed for a murder he didn’t commit, and reopens the case. The case brings a new set of troubles along with it.
Dive Club – Netflix Original
An Australian suspense drama series, it centres on a bunch of teen girls who must investigate mysterious happenings in their small coastal town when one of their friends disappears at sea.
Sharkdog – Netflix Original animated series
An animated series that centres on a young boy Max, and his adorable pet Sharkdog, who is half shark and half dog, with a voracious appetite. Blissfully unaware of his own strength, stealth and general sharkiness, Sharkdog often leaves a trail of chaos in his wake.

Paagal – Telugu film
Paagal is a Telugu romcom, starring Vishwak Sen, Nivetha Pethuraj and Murli Sharma among others. It centres on a young man who romances every girl he comes across. But tables turn when he falls hard for a girl he wants as his true love.
Cinderella – Hollywood film
It is a re-imagining of the classic fairy tale. Only, this time, Cinderella isn’t in pursuit of Prince Charming but her passion for creating beautiful clothes and establishing her dress shop in a patriarchal society. Singer Camila Cabello stars as the title character in her acting debut, alongside Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan.

Black Widow – Hollywood movie
Marvel Studios’ much-talked-about film headlining one of the Avengers, Natasha Romanov aka Black Widow. The film is finally on streaming in India, a few months after its July release. Scarlett Johansson returns in the titular character in the film, which tells her back story, her past in Russia, and her lost family. Also stars Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, Olga Kurylenko, William Hurt, Ray Winstone and Rachel Weisz.
What We Do In The Shadows Season 3 – series
The horror comedy mockumentary series returns with its third season. The series is a different take on the vampire genre. It follows four vampire roommates in Staten Island, who struggle to live up to their identities as vampires. The series stars Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, Harvey Guillén, and Mark Proksch.

Helmet – ZEE5 Original Hindi film
Helmet is an unconventional film that conveys the importance of condoms as a means of contraception. Lucky (Aparshakti Khurana) needs to convince his lady love’s (Pranutan Bahl) father (Ashish Vidyarthi) that he is good enough for his daughter. His antics lead him to a stash of condoms and he ends up becoming a condom seller – a source of much embarrassment for him.
Mangalavara Rajaadina – Kannada film
It is a romantic comedy, written and directed by Yuvin. The film centres on a young barber who dreams of styling the hair of Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep. But is he ever able to fulfil his dream? The film stars Chandan Achar, Lasya Nagaraj, Gopalkrishnan Deshpande, Rajinikanth and Jahangir.

Alpha Adimai – Tamil film
This Tamil crime-thriller is the first part of a planned trilogy of films. A couple of young guys get caught up in the dark world of drugs, and a tussle between drug-lords and the cops. It is also about how twisted human nature can be. The film is directed by Jenovi, and stars newcomers Eeshwar, Kalki, Arun and Vinod Varma in prominent roles.

Kalira Atita – Oriya film
This Oriya film, directed by Nila Madhab Panda, is an eye-opener on the havoc wrought by climate change. Pitobash Tripathy stars as a man who returns to his village hoping to reunite with his loved ones, but that a cyclone and its treacherous aftermath of a raging sea has gobbled up his village. As a new cyclone approaches, he wonders how he’ll survive the storm.

The Father – Hollywood movie
“The Father” is an Oscar-winning film, with a heart-rending premise. It is centred on Anthony (Anthony Hopkins), a mischievous 80-year-old living alone, who develops dementia. Anthony is unwilling to take help from his daughter Annie (Olivia Colman), who finds it difficult to stop by daily. Unwinding the reality, he begins to doubt his loved ones and struggles to accept his condition.

It is the Telugu dubbed version of 2017 Tamil film, Puriyatha Puthir. A young aspiring music director falls for a young woman. The thrill in the film begins when he comes across a questionable video of the woman he loves, and strives to save her from the danger she’s in. It stars Vijay Setupathi, Gayathri, Mahima Nambiar, Ranjith, Arjunan, among others.
