The third instalment of the Fantastic Beasts film series titled ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ was finally released in Indian theatres last month on 8th April 2022, after a spate of pandemic induced delays. The movie is a sequel to the previous two films namely ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ (2016) and ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ (2018) and serves as a spin-off / prequel to the eight Harry Potter films which were released from 2001 to 2011. In the US, the film will be streaming on HBO Max from 30th May.
And in a fantastic piece of update for all those ‘Wizarding World’ fans out there, ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ is all set to soon start streaming on Indian OTT as well. The movie will start streaming on the BookMyShow Stream platform from 2nd June onwards in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages with English subtitles. Prospective viewers can either rent the film for Rs.499/- or buy it for Rs.799/- on the BookMyShow platform.
The earlier two films ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ and ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ can be streamed on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform in India (the latter on rent). Moreover, the ‘Harry Potter’ films are also streaming on Prime Video. So, the latest film ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ might also be expected to land on Amazon Prime Video in the near future.
Helmed by David Yates, ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ revolves around how Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) assigns his confidant and Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and his ragtag team of wizards and witches to counter the rising power of the dark and powerful wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen).
