Although Holi is not a traditional Kerala festival, it is still observed in various parts of the state and has even made it into Malayalam films. Like most other festivals shown in Malayalam films, chances are, Holi too is only featured in a small section within a film or as a song. But most of the films that do feature “The festival of colours”, are rarely good. So instead, we will suggest 4 feel good movies to stream during Holi and a funny Holi sequence in a movie to check out as, well on 29th March 2021 (The “Holi-day”).

This Mollywood flick is a must watch during any holiday. This film launched the career of the actor Nivin Pauly, who had completely transformed to portray a different type of character. This film launched him to stardom in the South Indian Film Industry and made him a bankable actor. This film is available on Amazon Prime Video.

The only film in this list which features Holi and is the only halfway decent movie that features said festival. The movie has become a cult classic and is regularly featured on TV during Holi in Kerala. The Holi sequence in this film is a brilliant song, which matches the mood of the festival and is a must-watch/ must-hear. Stream this movie on Amazon Prime Video.

This attempt at a comedy movie is not completely bad, but there is one particular sequence within the movie which is actually very funny. A funny enough for anyone to check out the movie; the scene which coincidentally is about Holi celebration. This movie is available for rent on Youtube for Rs. 100 in HD format.
