Earlier this year, SS Rajamouli had to hold multiple rounds of talks with the makers of Bheemla Nayak in order to orchestrate a free box office run for RRR, which was up for release on 7th January at that point in time. Consequently, Bheemla Nayak, which was announced for release on 12th January was postponed. Incidentally, neither of the films were released as per plan due to the Covid outbreak. But this is a thing in the past.
Now, after a whole lot of reshuffling, Bheemla Nayak has again locked a release slot that is close to that of RRR’s. While RRR is up for theatrical release on the 25th of March, Bheemla Nayak has locked the 1st April slot, which is exactly a week post the release of RRR. Well, the makers had also announced that sticking to 25th February release plan is also an option but it looks unlikely.
If RRR is to have a free run at the box offices across the Telugu states, then a mainstream biggie like Bheemla Nayak should not be releasing a week post its theatrical release. Rajamouli will be well aware of the same. But the big question is, will Rajamouli hold talks with Pawan Kalyan and the makers of Bheemla Nayak again and try and persuade them to either arrive on 25 February or vacate the 1 April slot. He had to do it once earlier and it wasn’t easy going either for him or the makers of Bheemla Nayak. So, will Rajamouli be doing it again this time around? We have to wait and see.
