The satellite and digital rights market has become a boon for small films provided they are made with a decent cast and crew and in good quality. Such films are making good money. Similar is the case with Sudheer Babu’s latest film, Sridevi Soda Center. Zee Group bagged the satellite and digital rights of the movie directed by Palasa 1978 fame Karuna Kumar. The digital rights are for the post-theatrical release scenario.
Reports are that Zee paid Sudheer Babu‘s career-best price for the bouquet and the makers were able to recover all of their investment just from this deal. Karuna Kumar’s maiden film, Palasa 1978 is a blockbuster on OTT and the director is so promising. The promotional material of the film released so far is promising and so, Zee group came forward to bid a big price.
The movie shooting has been completed before the Lockdown. The makers will announce their release date once the theaters re-open. 70mm Entertainment which previously produced super hit films like Anando Brahma is bankrolling it. Mani Sharma is scoring the music. Meanwhile, Sudheer Babu already moved on to the shooting of his next film, Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali with director Indraganti Mohana Krishna.
