HBO announced that two special bonus episodes of Zendaya starrer ‘Euphoria’ will premiere while the audience waits for the second season as it got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Euphoria season 1 is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar in India.
Euphoria season 1 ended with Rue (Zendaya), a recovering addict, fresh from rehab, falling back into the trap after leaving Jules, a transgender girl searching for where she belongs, behind on a train. The first special episode is titled “Trouble Don’t Last Always” and follows Rue as she celebrates Christmas.
Both Zendaya and Hunter Schafer will appear in both the special episodes. The first bonus episode will premiere on December 6 and will also feature Colman Domingo. The episode has been written and directed by series creator Sam Levinson. Release date for the second bonus episode is yet to be announced.
Zendaya received the Lead Actress award for Euphoria at Emmy Awards 2020 leaving behind Olivia Colman (The Crown) and Jennifer Anniston (The Morning Show). This made her the youngest actress at just 24 years to receive an Emmy for Lead Actress in the drama category.
Zendaya will be seen next in much anticipated Dune, an upcoming epic science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Issac, Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa, Stella Skarsgård among others.
