The Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller is enjoying a record-breaking digital run after premiering on JioHotstar on June 5, 2026. According to the latest figures, the film attracted 50 million viewers during its opening weekend on the platform. Even more impressively, its combined viewership across Netflix has reportedly crossed 70 million views.
What makes this achievement even more noteworthy is the film it has overtaken. Until now, RRR was widely regarded as the benchmark for Indian films on streaming platforms. Rajamouli’s epic action drama did not just dominate the box office but also found a massive audience worldwide through OTT. Surpassing a film of that stature is no small feat.
If you are not able to appreciate the magnitude of this success then let us tell you that OTT records are very feeble. They generally break very easily whenever a big film comes out. In the case of RRR, it took nearly 4 years to break that record. Dhurandhar 2 has done something incredible on OTT and it is nothing less than what it has done on the big screens.
