The Tamil romantic fantasy Kiss is all set to make its digital debut on November 7 on ZEE5. The film stars Kavin and Preethi Asrani in lead roles and is directed by Sathish Krishnan. After its theatrical release in September, Kiss is now ready to reach a wider audience through streaming.
The movie tells the story of a musician who gains a strange power that he can see the future of any couple who kiss in front of him. What begins as a fantasy takes a turn when he meets the woman who changes how he views love and destiny. With music by Jen Martin and visuals by Harish Kannan, the film promises a light mix of romance and imagination.
However, Kiss will not have the digital space to itself. The same day marks the arrival of two major titles on Netflix India i.e. Baramulla and Frankenstein. Both releases have been creating buzz and that shall set-up an interesting clash for audience attention. While Baramulla is expected to bring intense drama rooted in Kashmir, Frankenstein offers a darker, modern take on the classic story.
For Kiss, this competition means it must rely on its charm storytelling to stand out. With Kavin’s growing fan base and a unique concept blending love and fantasy, the film could still find its audience. The November 7 weekend will test how well Tamil cinema holds its ground against global content in the crowded streaming race.
