Indian OTT platforms are going places. Earlier film buffs waited for the theatrical release of buzzy films. But now, viewers wait for films to arrive on OTT platforms, so that they can watch them in the comfort of their homes. A trip to the theatres is reserved mostly for big budget films with top actors.
As a result, most movies arrive on OTT within a month of their theatrical release, some even earlier. A gazillion Indian films are set to release on all the top OTT platforms in India in the rest of May. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5 – all the top Indian OTT platforms have lined up an interesting mix of films for OTT release.
With so many films releasing on OTT, it’s quite a task to keep track of them all. So we at Binged have compiled all upcoming Indian films releasing on OTT in one single list. Bookmark this list, to use as a handy guide for you to refer to and instantly know which movie is streaming where and on what date.

1. Jersey, Hindi, Netflix, May 20 –
A talented but failed cricketer returns to the sport in his late thirties, in order to realise his dream of playing for his country, as well as to fulfil his son’s wish for a Jersey as a gift. Jersey is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. It stars Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor in crucial roles.
2. RRR, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, ZEE5 and BMS Stream, May 20
The biggest blockbuster of the year, RRR arrives on streaming, albeit in the pay per view model. RRR in Hindi will stream on TVOD on BMS Stream, while RRR in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam will stream on ZEE5. The historical drama is directed by S S Rajamouli, and stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt.
3. 12th Man, Malayalam, Disney+ Hotstar, May 20
12th Man brings back Drishyam’s successful team of star Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph, in yet another suspense thriller. 12 people are cooped up together for 24 hours in an isolated bungalow, in a situation shrouded in mystery. 12th Man stars Mohanlal, Unni Mukundan, Saiju Kurup, Shivada, Anu Sithara, among others.
4. Acharya, Telugu, Prime Video, May 20
Acharya is an action drama, written and directed by Koratala Siva. A middle-aged Naxalite-turned-social reformer launches a fight against the Endowments Department over misappropriation of temple funds. Acharya stars Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, Sonu Sood, Jisshu Sengupta, Nassar, Kishor, Vennela Kishore, among others.
5. Bhala Thandhanana, Telugu, Disney Plus Hotstar, May 20
A spate of cold-blooded murders compels an investigative journalist to dig deeper into the crimes, leading her to discover that there’s more to her accountant boyfriend than meets the eye. Directed by Chaitanya Dantuluri, starring Sree Vishnu, Ramachandra Raju, Catherine Tresa, Krishna Murali Posani, among others.
6. Zombivli, Marathi, ZEE5, May 20
In a quirky take on the rich-poor divide, people on both sides of the divide are compelled to come together when zombies take over their far-flung Mumbai suburb of Dombivali. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. Starring Lalit Prabhakar, Vaidehi Parshurami, Amey Wagh and Trupti Khamkar
7. Toolsidas Junior, Hindi, Netflix, May 23
Toolsidas Junior is a snooker-centred film, presented by Ashutosh Gowariker. When his father Toolsidas (Rajiv Kapoor) loses an important snooker tournament, his 13-year-old son takes on the impossible journey to bring his father’s name on the Winner’s Board, with the help of veteran snooker player Mohd Salaam (Sanjay Dutt).
8. Attack, Hindi, ZEE5, May 27
Attack blends science fiction with patriotism. Directed by Lakshya Raj Anand, Attack is set in the backdrop of terrorist attacks, and how the Indian intelligence agency makes use of super soldiers, whose capabilities are enhanced with the help of robotic and artificial means, to fight the terrorists. Attack stars John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Prakash Raj and Ratna Pathak Shah in crucial roles.
9. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Tamil, Disney Plus Hotstar, May 27
Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is a comedy film, set in the backdrop of a love triangle. Two women fall in love with the same man, who’s unable to choose between the two. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’ stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha in lead roles. The comedy drama is written and directed by Vignesh Shivan.
10. KGF Chapter 2, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Prime Video, May 27
Action blockbuster KGF Chapter 2 is already streaming on Prime Video in the pay per view format. However, the Yash starrer will be free to watch for subscribers on Prime Video, from 27th May onwards. KGF 2 is directed by Prashanth Neel, and stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty in crucial roles.
11. Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, Telugu, Aha Video, May 27
Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam is a quirky socio-comedy on the societal pressures faced by a man who’s still not married at the ripe old age of 34. The sensitive issue is handled in a light-hearted, refreshing way. Directed by Vidyasagar Chinta, Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam stars Vishwak Sen, Rukshar Dhillon, Ritika Nayak, Goparaju Ramana, among others.
12. Seththumaan, Tamil, SonyLIV, May 27
Seththumaan is an eye-opening film on caste discrimination in India. When Vellaiyan, Poochi’s landlord, instructs him to find a choice pig—or “seththumaan” for a feast, Poochi and his little grandson Kumaresan get busy. However, once pork and drink go down, tempers flare up, and the village is again caught up in caste-based hostilities. The festival favourite film is presented by Pa Ranjeeth, and written and directed by Thamizh.
13. Payanigal Gavanikkavum, Tamil, Aha Tamil, May 29
A comedy drama, centred on the perils of today’s state of trial by social media. An exhausted hearing and speech-impaired Ezhilan falls asleep while travelling back home on the metro. A co-passenger takes him to be a drunkard and posts his photo on social media. Things then go haywire for Ezhilan and his middle-class family. Directed by Sakthivel Perumalsamy, Payanigal Gavanikkavum stars Vidharth, Lakshmi Priyaa, Karunakaran, Masoom Shankar, Prem, Sarithran, among others.
