It has been months since ‘The Family Man‘ season 2 was announced and been quite a few weeks since its release date got extended to the first week of June. We are now only 11 days away from the premiere of the second season of the biggest Indian show and the wait has been killing us. If you guys can’t wait for another few days, check out these 5 TV shows and movies in the mean time, which are similar to ‘The Family Man’ and where to stream them.
1. Bard of Blood
This 2019 released Netflix original is based on the Indian fictional espionage novel of the same name, written by Bilal Siddiqi. The seven-episode TV series follows excommunicated RAW agent, Kabir Anand. A courageous analyst and a sleeper agent, Kabir takes on a covert mission in Balochistan where four Indian spies are captured. The mission however turns south real quick and Kabir must face his demons from the past. Check it out on Netflix.
2.Vishwaroopam
This Kamal Haasan action thriller is a very different type of a spy movie made by an Indian production company. The film follows Nirupama, an ambitious woman studying in the USA, who marries a dance master, Viswanathan. On being suspicious of his behaviour, she hires a detective, who reveals his true identity and past. This film is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
3. Raazi
This crime thriller of a movie, gave us a showcase of Alia Bhatt‘s fierce range as an actor. We follow Sehmat Khan, an undercover RAW agent who is married into a Pakistani family by her father. She uses her position to gather valuable information about the enemy for her country. This movie is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
4. Special Ops
This 8-episode series follows Himmat Singh, who is looking to end a 19-year manhunt. He gathers his team to find the mastermind behind several terror attacks in a bid to stop them before another disaster. Check the series out on Disney+ Hotstar.
5. Sacred Games
Of course, this TV series was going to make this list. The seire starts of with an anonymous tip about the location of criminal overlord Ganesh Gaitonde being received by police officer Sartaj Singh. He embarks on a chase around Mumbai for Ganesh, in what becomes a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. Check out this two season web series on Netflix.
