Currently riding high on the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi which is already on its way to hit 100 crores, Alia Bhatt is officially the busiest bollywood actress right now. She will be next seen in SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan followed by her co-production Darlings and Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra. There are also rumours hinting at Alia Bhatt being the lead opposite Jr. NTR in Koratala Siva’s next.
However the hottest news out of the oven is that Bhatt is in talks to be a lead in another big budget Pan India film. That’s right! It’s none other than SS Rajamouli’s next with Mahesh Babu. Touted as a jungle-action-adventure written by his father, KV Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli is all set to begin pre-production of his next once RRR releases. Further details regarding the premise and casting are not divulged yet.
“Over the last few months, SS Rajamouli and his father, KV Vijayendra Prasad, have been working on the screenplay of their next collaboration with Mahesh in the lead. They have developed several characters and feel that Alia fits the bill to play the female lead. The duo also believes that Alia will make a solid pairing with Mahesh,” revealed a source close to the development, Pinkvilla reports. The source also added that much like RRR, the film will feature actors across industries and unlike RRR, Alia will be getting a much meatier role in this African-Jungle-adventure.
The film is expected to be shot in real time jungle-locales to get the scale and feel of a jungle action adventure right. The film will supposedly go on floors by mid-2023 once Alia and Mahesh complete their present committed projects.
