After two consecutive mostly dry weeks, this Friday is going to be blooming on OTT with a bunch of Indian content. Including mostly licensed films making way to digital platforms after completing their theatrical runs, this week you might be spoilt for choices.
Beginning with Netflix, while there’s nothing in terms of original Indian content this week on the global streaming giant, it is bringing the biggest offering of this week ‘Chhaava’ for its viewers. After a thunderous box office run the Vicky Kaushal starrer is finally coming to OTT.
Netflix will also host Telugu legal drama ‘Court: State Vs A Nobody’ which is backed by Nani and got some good reviews alongside Tamil black comedy ‘Perusu’ by Ilango Ram, a remake of the acclaimed Sri Lankan film ‘Tentigo’.
As for Prime Video, the platform will stream horror film ‘Chhorii 2’, the only original film by a streaming platform coming this Friday. Directed by Vishal Furia and starring Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan, the film has some high expectations ever since the trailer came out.
Jio Hotstar has its original animated series ‘The Legend Of Hanuman’ returning with season 6 tomorrow. This time fans will get to see the famous tale of Lord Hanuman bringing the whole mountain instead of one Sanjivani booti to save Lord Lakshman’s life. The platform will also stream Tamil rom-com ‘Sweetheart!’ on the same day.
As for SonyLIV, Malayalam black comedy crime thriller ‘Pravinkoodu Shappu’ is coming to the platform this Friday. Though it underperformed at box office, the film got some good reviews.
There’s also Telugu crime-thriller film ‘Shanmukha’ starring Aadi Saikumar and Avila Gor which is coming to OTT after theatrical run on Aha Video tomorrow .
Apart from these Indian titles, you can stream Hacks season 4, Pets and Rescue: Hi-Surf on Jio Hotstar, The Gardener and Meet The Khumalos on Netflix this Friday.
