It’s the June of 2021 already. Even if cinema halls have been shut for quite some time, a spate of films had released in theatres before they shut down. Also, a vast range of content has been released on streaming platforms until June.
As it does with clock-work regularity, ratings website IMDb has released its list of those Indian films and shows that have garnered maximum popularity in the country. Please note that the list has taken into account only those titles that have released in theatres or on streaming between 1st January, 2021 and 3rd June, 2021 only. Hence, The Family Man 2 does not find a place in the list.
IMDb has also shared that the list of most popular titles of 2021 has been created taking into account IMDbPro data on the page views of IMDb users in India.
Incidentally, not a single Bollywood film has found a place in the most popular titles list. Also, South Indian content dominates the list, with 7 titles from the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam content space.
