Marvel’s Phase 4 is flourishing with the release of each new film and series. Marvel is at its top game right now and each and every release marks something new in cinematic history. Now, even though a lot of the stuff is already released, a lot more MCU films and series are still left to entertain people. The films are highly anticipated as always, as Marvel without fail gives one of the best cinematic experiences.
Now, we know Black Widow and Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings have already graced the big screens. Even though Black Widow didn’t see a theatrical release in India, Shang-Chi has been doing phenomenally well and fans can’t wait for the next movie, which is Marvel’s “Eternals” to drop in November and a month later, an epic showdown with “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.
Now, all these Marvel movies have different hypes and fame currently and not to mention how all the photo leaks from sets, videos, posters just add to our hype. So based on all that, we have prepared a list to show which one can be one of the most hyped and anticipated Marvel movies currently.
6. The Marvels
The Marvels will be the sequel to the 2019 mega-hit Captain Marvel. The Marvels will bring back Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka MCU’s Captain Marvel. Along with her, we will reportedly get to see Ms. Marvel, played by Iman Vellani, and also Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Samuel L.Jackson’s Nick Fury. Now, South Korean superstar Park Seo-joon has also joined the team, and shooting for the movie is going on in full strength. Now, the movie is scheduled for a November 2022 release and since the release is almost a year later, much of the information of “The Marvels” is still under wraps. The only times it creeps up is when there are some additions to the cast. With the movie currently still recruiting actors, the hype for the storyline is much less and as usual, it will eventually go up later next year, on 11th November, 2021.
5. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Now, Black Panther’s sequel is another such movie that people are dying to watch. But, then again what is the story, how will it be portrayed, what will be shown, nothing at all has even leaked. It is being kept tightly wrapped and the only major interest fans are having right now, is to see who will play Black Panther, now since Chadwick Boseman is gone. Will there be a new entry or will Shuri take on the legacy? All these are the main things that keep fans interested. Now, apart from that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is also set to introduce “Ironheart” a crucial character in the Marvel comics, but again only this. Recently few photos from the sets were leaked and this piqued the interest of a lot of fans. The movie is scheduled for a July 8, 2022 release.
4. Thor: Love And Thunder
The 4th part of the Thor franchise in MCU. This is one movie that has everyone interested in photos, casts, “exercise routines”, and more and more information is continuously revealed. One other reason why this one has everyone hooked is because of Natalie Portman aka Jane Foster’s return. Not only will she return as Thor’s love interest but will take on the lead and be the female Thor. Now, tell us, how will one not be interested to know how the powers of God of Thunder come to a mere human? With the characters of Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Love And Thunder are packed and loaded and fans can’t wait to see when it releases on May 6 2022.
3. Eternals
Eternals is the next mega film from Marvel to hit the screens on 5th November, 2021. Everyone is geared up for the release and from the images, videos, interviews, magazine covers, trailers, we can definitely say that fans are ready to welcome these brand new characters into the MCU. Now, even though Eternals is next to release, it still has less hype than one other film at the moment. The reason can be that Eternals will be a completely new concept for fans to witness and they have no idea what to expect. But on the other hand, the massive cast of Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, and many others, are keeping fans hooked to the movie’s hype.
2. Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness
Doctor Strange’s sequel is by far the most hyped-up movie to release in 2022. The movie is hitting the screens on 22 March and the current theme of MCU’s “multiverse” will be one of the most important points in the movie. Not to mention the return of Wanda, Spider-Man, Loki, Sylvie, Mobius and so many more and has kept fans attached to any kind of news from the movie. The movie hasn’t had any sort of video, teaser releases, the sheer power Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange has on the MCU is all that fans need to stay glued to the updates of the movie.
1. Spider-Man: No Way Home
As if the hype around this movie needs an introduction or description. It is unreal is the only thing we can say. With loads of photo leaks from sets, videos, and with the trailer finally dropped and a few months away from the release, fans can’t stay calm. Also, the rumor of coming together of all Spider-Men and the Sinister Six villain group, along with Daredevil’s supposed cameo has left the movie at our No. 1 spot of most hyped upcoming MCU movies. Again, after Loki and WandaVision, Spider-Man will be the first movie to show the multiversal world and it already looks insane. We can’t wait to witness all this goodness in the theatres on December 17th, 2021
Besides these movies, Phase 4 also has AntMan and the Wasp: Quantamania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4, both of which are scheduled for 2023 release. Both these movies are slowly and gradually gearing and hence around, is tad bit less than the others.
