If Robbie accepts the ‘reported’ offer, she will become one of the few performers to play comic book characters for both Marvel and DC film franchises. She is globally prominent for playing Harley Quinn in the DC world and has starred in Suicide Squad (2016) and Birds of Prey (2020).
Is Margot Robbie perfect for playing Susan Storm?
Susan Storm is an iconic but also complex superheroine in the comics. The on-screen portrayal of her character will need a performer who can perfectly portray her strengths, intelligence, and vulnerabilities. This is where Margot Robbie can step in and do the job. Her past performances prove that she can bring the required nuance and depth to the character of Susan Storm. Plus, the actress knows how to carry a film. She has done that on many occasions, including her performance in I, Tonya (2017), Mary Queen of Scots (2018), and Babylon (2022).
Additionally, Robbie knows the value of understanding the demands and expectations of playing a comic book character in a film. Her performance as Harley Quinn in the DCEU has received critical acclaim.
Who is Susan Storm?
Susan Storm, aka The Invisible Woman, is one of the founding members of the superhero faction Fantastic Four and Marvel Comics’ first female superhero in the Silver Age of Comic Books. She is married to Reed Richards, Mr Fantastic, and has a brother named Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch.
MCU has planned to release Matt Shakman’s Fantastic Four in 2025. Let’s see if this rumour turns out true in the future or not. Stay tuned for more updates.
