Amazon Prime Video released a teaser video for its upcoming Kannada film ‘Bheemasena Nalamaharaja‘ today. Directed and written by Karthik Saragur ‘Bheemasena Nalamaharaja’ will be releasing on Amazon Prime Video On October 29 as part of its Great Indian Festival.
The teaser video, narrated by a child, describes how cooking food is like poetry. The voice tells that “good cooking is sheer poetry, cook just right and you come up a poet”. When asked what it actually means the narrator explains by saying “Cook just right – dosas crisped on a hot griddle, cook just right – a cake baked to perfection, cook just right – chicken biryani that makes your mouth water, cook just right – a smiling omelette.”
The narrator gets interrupted in between asking again how cooking is like poetry. To this the narrator first thinks how to explain it further and then answers,” Juggle eggs in the air, that’s poetry, capture the memory of a scent, that’s poetry, finding the love within, finding that hidden smile, finding God in a dumpling, blending flavours, building textures into a morsel of magic – that’s poetry.
Meanwhile the video displays everything in moton that the narrator is trying to explain – from dosa making, cake baking, biryani cooking, eggs juggling, smelling of different flavours, etc. When people eat all these delicious foods they just can’t stop themselves from praising the chef-poet who created that magical feast.
And the answer to who is the chef is – Bheemasena Nalamaharaja. The Amazon Original Movie is a flavoursome journey of love, friendship and life. As the director and writer Saragur says, the film is “based on six rasas — sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent, and the six characters represents six rasas.”
Bheemasena Nalamaharaja is an ode to food and family values starring Aravinnd Iyer, Aarohi Narayan, Priyanka Thimmesh, Achyuth Kumar, Vijay Chendoor, Amaan, Pooja, Praveen, Lakshmi, Sandhya, Aadya, Chitrali, Thushar and Vishwas.
