Top 5 Legal Dramas To Stream Before Watching Criminal Justice S3

Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach is all set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on August 26. Fans will see Pankaj Tripathi reprising the role of iconic and charming lawyer Madhav Mishra in the upcoming season. The duo of Applause Entertainment and BBC Studio have jointly produced the series. Apart from the leading man, viewers will see Shweta Basu Prasad and Purab Kohli in important supporting roles.

Here are the top five legal dramas that you can binge-watch on OTT before streaming Criminal Justice Season 3.

The Undoing (Disney+ Hotstar)

Helmed by Susanne Bier, The Undoing revolves around a renowned psychologist, Grace Fraser (Nicole Kidman). Her life, along with the lives of her close ones, turns upside down after she shockingly gets involved with a brutal murder case. British veteran Hugh Grant plays Grace’s husband and oncologist, Jonathan Fraser, in the show. The remaining cast has performers like Edgar Ramirez, Noah Jupe, Lily Rabe, Rosemary Harris, and many more.

Guilty Minds (Amazon Prime Video)

Shefali Bhushan’s Guilty Minds is a story about a trio of friends: Kashaf (Shriya Pilgaonkar), Deepak (Varun Mitra), and Vandana (Sugandha Garg). These guys are buddies from their law school days. The duo of Kashaf and Vandana together run a law centre, mostly taking cases related to humanity and class action. On the other hand, Deepak represents rich clients under Khanna & Khanna, a prominent law firm. We will see these guys taking on each other by raising issues like rape, water shortage, artificial intelligence, and many more in court.

The Lincoln Lawyer (Netflix)

This David E. Kelly series takes its inspiration from Michael Connelly’s 2008 novel, The Brass Verdict. The leading man, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, plays Mickey Haller, a defense attorney who handles his business in a Lincoln navigator rather than an office. Viewers will witness the protagonist taking on different cases in Los Angeles. The show has been renewed for a second season, expected to come out next year.

Goliath (Amazon Prime Video)

Another David E. Kelly show has made this list. Veteran Billy Bob Thornton plays Billy McBride, once a highly talented lawyer, now a washed-up and alcoholic guy. He seeks redemption and works his a** off on getting justice in a system where truth has emerged as a commodity. Nina Arianda, Tania Raymonde, and William Hurt play important supporting roles in the show.

When They See Us (Netflix)

Ava DuVernay’s When They See Us is undoubtedly one of the best miniseries on Netflix. In 1989, the infamous Central Park Jogger case happened. Five coloured suspects were prosecuted on charges of sexual assault in that case. And four of them got convicted of rape except for Korey Wise (Jharrel Jerome). However, they all bagged a settlement in 2014 after filing a case against the city in 2003. The miniseries stars Asante Blackk, Caleel Harris, Ethan Herisse, Jharrel Jerome, Marquis Rodriguez, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, and many more.
