Top 5 Unnecessary Sequels on OTT, 2020

5 Unnecessary sequels:

Sometimes we do need a sequel to understand what happens after all that we went through together with the initial season. But, then there are also sometimes when we do need a sequel but the utter want to continue, messes it up real bad. Here are the examples of some of those unnecessary sequels that we probably didn’t need.

5. 4 More Shots Please!

Platform: Amazon Prime

Well, to start off this series will in some way give you the vibe of Sex and The City but not in a great way. This is an overly done series, where they think talking about sex and the guys they sleep with is the true women empowerment. One could still somehow go through season 1 of the show but then the same case drags on for Season 2 and this time, somehow it is way more unbearable. Unfortunately, it’s in the talks for season 3 too.

4. Poison 2:
Platform: Zee5

Poison 2 is somehow better than the first season but that doesn’t mean it is bearable. It is absolutely not. One cannot get away just by the show of tiny, body hugging dresses, well toned bodies and not care about where the story is headed. With way too many twists and turns, this sequel fails in keeping you engrossed in the series.

3. Aashram Chapter 2:

Platform: MX Player

The second instalment of the show offers nothing new. It is just an overly stretched extension of the first season, which is even worse. The ill intention of a Godman that was well put forward in the first season is again brought back for the second season. There are no differences in the basic plots and that is what makes Aashram Chapter 2, a totally unnecessary sequel.

2. Baarish Season 2:
Platform: ALT Balaji

What is Baarish Season 2? Nothing but the contents of daily soap turned into a web series. A totally unnecessary sequel that follows the melodrama of a TV soap which is definitely not wanted and not needed in the world of OTT, especially not of this sort.

1.Gandii Baat Season 5:
Platform: ALT Balaji

First of all, how and why is it being renewed? That too to a point that it has reached Season 5. Ekta Kapoor has just murdered the erotica genre with her shows and God knows till which point she wants to extend it. They say it’s bold acting but this is outright obnoxious and not at all necessary. If someone even wants to explore this, a humble request please don’t watch it if you can.
