ZEE5’s Amrutham Dvitheeyam To Release Two Special Episodes Filmed Entirely In Lockdown

Following in the footsteps of its well-appreciated other lockdown special series Bhalla Calling Bhalla, ZEE5 is now bringing two episodes of Amrutham Dvitheeyam, both entirely shot in the lockdown. ZEE5 has announced that two episodes of a lockdown special segment will be premiered from May 27. The makers have also released a special teaser of the same.

Director Sandeep Gunnam of ‘Amrutham Dhvitheeyam’ shared, “As a lockdown special, two short episodes of 10 and 8 minutes have been conceived. Vasu has written the script. My father (Gunnam Gangaraju) has read the script. The actors have been briefed. They shot their portions from their home and sent us. Harshavardhan has directed two episodes.”

The Amrutham Dhvitheeyam lockdown special will have stars Harshavardhan, LB Srinivas, Sivannarayana and Vasu Inturi getting into hilarious situations, but all from the safety of their homes.

Starting from June 25, regular ‘Amrutham Dhvitheeyam’ special episodes will be premiered every month. Three episodes that were shot before the lockdown are currently under post-production.

When ZEE5 brought back the wildly-appreciated Amrutham Dvitheeyam on its platform, fans were delirious with joy. But hardly had the new season of the series premiered on ZEE5 Telugu, when the lockdown happened. And Amrutham Dvitheeyam was stuck with just three all-new episodes to its name.

Now, with two more episodes of Amrutham Dvitheeyam coming up, fans can look forward to some humour in the Coronavirus lockdown.

Amrutham Dvitheeyam special lockdown episodes premiere on ZEE5 on 27th May.
