Broken But Beautiful is an original web series created and developed by the joint managing director and creative head of Balaji Telefilms Limited, Ekta Kapoor. With a good cast, good script, good production value and good direction, this beautifully crafted series was well received by audiences and critics alike.
The first season of the series follows two broken young souls – Veer, a man who lost his wife, Alina to a car accident 3 years ago and Sameera, a woman who got dumped by her boyfriend, Karthik 8 months ago, who was also her best friend. Veer is unable to move on and hallucinates Alina everywhere, talking to her like he normally would when she was alive. Sameera can’t get over her breakup and stalks Karthik for months, even when he finds another girlfriend, Ananya. These two broken people eventually meet, and decide to help each other.
The first two seasons follow the previously mentioned Veer and Sameera, and their friends. The upcoming, third season will be based on two new characters – Agastya and Rumi.
