Phase-4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to come to an end. On the movies front, the highly anticipated Black Panther sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is set to release next month. And James Gunn’s television special ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special’ will come out during Christmas time.
However, this write-up is about MCU Phase-4’s television series which recently concluded with the Tatiana Maslany starrer superhero legal drama ‘She-Hulk’. MCU Phase-4 comprises eight series and we have ranked these titles which are all streaming on the Disney+ and the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platforms. So, here we go.
8. Hawkeye
The Marvel miniseries revolves around superhero Hawkeye’s character after the events of the 2019 blockbuster film ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Jeremy Renner reprises his role as Clint Barton / Hawkeye in the series. The story follows how Clint Barton teams up with another archer and his protégé Kate Bishop and deals with the enemies from his dark past, in order to reach his home on time before Christmas.
7. What If?
The animated anthology series shows us how things would have turned out to be, in case major incidents in the MCU happened differently. For instance, if Tony Stark was rescued by Killmonger in the first Iron Man film. And what if Captain Carter had become the first avenger instead of Steve Rogers, etc.
6. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
The action-packed show features the characters of Sam Wilson aka Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and is set a few months following the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. The story is about how the Falcon and the Winter Soldier team-up to fight against an anti-patriotic group led by enhanced, super-powered antagonists.
5. Ms. Marvel
Marvel Studios’ six-part superhero series ‘Ms. Marvel’ revolves around the adventures of a Jersey City-based 16-year-old high school student Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani), who is a diehard fan of Captain Marvel. The imaginative girl struggles to fit in her school and home, but life totally changes for her after she herself gains incredible superpowers.
‘She-Hulk’ is a legal comedy series that is based on the character of a lawyer named Jennifer Walters, who gains superpowers after accidentally receiving blood from her cousin Bruce Banner. She eventually becomes an altered version of her male counterpart Hulk and fights cases involving superhumans.
3. WandaVision
The superhero sitcom revolves around the happily married couple Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), who begin to wonder that their seemingly ideal lives may not be as perfect and real as they seem.
2. Moon Knight
The six-part show ‘Moon Knight’ revolves around a mercenary and ex-US marine named Marc Spector aka Moon Knight (played by Oscar Isaac), who is suffering from dissociative identity disorder condition, and is bestowed with the powers of the Egyptian moon god. The series also features Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy in important roles.
1. Loki
English actor Tom Hiddleston had last year reprised his role as the God of Mischief – Loki in the titular web series on the Disney Plus streaming platform. The show’s premise revolves around an alternate version of Loki created during the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ movie and how he deals with the Time Variance Authority (TVA) organization to fix the timeline and avert a bigger problem.
