Denis Villeneuve’s epic science fiction film ‘Dune’ has made its premiere at the 78th Venice Film Festival and the first reactions for the much awaited film are terrific. Based on the eponymous 1965 novel by Frank Herbert, ‘Dune’ is slated to release in US theatres on 22nd October, 2021 and will simultaneously stream on HBO Max for 31 days.
‘Dune’ has been one of the most anticipated movies in a long time and it’s successive delays just raised the anticipation even more. Filmed on a massive scale the film is touted be one of a kind and something that has never been seen before.
With the kind of first reactions coming in after Dune’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival, the above can certainly by expected to be true in all senses. One of the reaction for the film posted by a viewer on Twitter read, “Sometimes you just know when you’ve seen an all-time great… And #Dune is, to me, an all-time great. Denis Villeneuve’s masterpiece is a sweeping symphony of spectacle, sound, and storytelling. A cinematic odyssey that is every bit as visceral as it is epic. #Venezia78”

Another one wrote, “#Venezia78 #Dune Part One. Jaw-dropping gorgeous to watch, rousing to experience. It pumps and pumps and pumps that spice in your veins. Ferguson is commanding, intense as usual. Chalamet gives his best in such a subdued action role. Geometric elegance in chaos. #DuneMovie”
