It’s the last ten days of December, and of course, 2022. Christmas cheer is in the air, and most people are in holiday mode. What better way to spend the final days of 2022 than by binge-watching interesting Indian films on OTT. Every prominent streaming platform has got a movie or two lined up for release at the end of the year – a total of eleven films!

1. Masooda – 21st December, Aha Video, Telugu
A gripping horror film in which a single mother must save her possessed daughter from the clutches of an evil force. Stars Sangeetha, Thiruveer, Kavya Kalyan Ram and Subhalekha Sudhakar, directed by Sai Kiran.
2. Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey – 22nd December, Disney Plus Hotstar, Malayalam
Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey is a social comedy drama that centres on a married woman who completes her education against all odds. Stars Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran, directed by Vipin Das
3. Tara Vs Bilal – 23rd December, Netflix, Hindi
Tara Vs Bilal is a rom-com that centres on a man and woman who enter into a fake marriage and later fall in love. Stars Harshvardhan Rane and Sonia Rathee. Directed by Samar Iqbal.
4. Ram Setu – 23rd December, Prime Video, Hindi
Ram Setu centres on an archaeologist who races against time to prove the true existence of the legendary Ram Setu before evil forces destroy the pillar of India’s heritage. Stars Akshay Kumar, Satya Dev, Nushratt Bharuccha, Jacqueline Fernandez, directed by Abhishek Sharma.
5. Ini Utharam – 23rd December, ZEE5, Malayalam
Ini Utharam is a murder mystery and suspense thriller that centres on a girl who is trapped in a false murder case, and her subsequent fightback. Stars Aparna Balamurali, Harish Uthaman, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Chandhunadh, Siddique, Jaffar Idukki, Siddharth Menon. Directed by Sudheesh Ramachandran
6. Kaari – 23rd December, ZEE5, Tamil
‘Kaari’ is a sports drama and action film that centres on a champion race horse jockey from a big city, who lands up in the rustic sport of Jallikattu in a small town in Tamil Nadu. Stars M. Sasikumar, Parvathy Arun, J. D. Chakravarthy and Balaji Sakthivel, directed by Hemanth.
7. Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam – 23rd December, ZEE5, Telugu
‘Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam’ is a heartfelt social drama film that sheds light on the social evils in small town India. Starring Allari Naresh, Anandhi, Vennela Kishore, Praveen, Sampath Raj and Sritej, written and directed by A. R. Mohan, produced by Zee Studios and Hasya Movies
8. Agent Kannayiram – 23rd December, Sunnxt, Tamil
‘Agent Kannayiram’ is centred on an aspiring detective, who’s caught up in a vexing mystery in his village, revolving around dead bodies. It is a remake of Telugu film ‘Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya’. Stars Santhanam and Riya Suman, directed by Manoj Beedha
9. The Teacher – 23rd December, Netflix, Malayalam
The Teacher centres on a private school physical education instructor, who struggles to recall what happened to her on the final day of the School Annual Day, and when she realises the truth, sets out for revenge. Starring Amala Paul, Hakkim Shahjahan, Manju Pillai, Chemban Vinod Jose, directed by Vivek.
10. Butterfly – 29th December, Disney Plus Hotstar, Telugu
Butterfly is a mystery and suspense drama that centres on a mother whose kids are kidnapped by sinister elements, and how she fights to get them back. Stars Anupama Parameswaran, Nihal Kodhaty, Praveen and Bhumika Chawla, directed by Ghanta Satish Babu.
11. Uttwaraan – 30th December, ZEE5, Bengali
Uttwaraan is a critically acclaimed Bengali film that premiered at the Kolkata International Film Festival this month. The edgy drama directed by Indraadip Dasgupta stars Kaushik Ganguly, Ankush and Saayoni Ghosh in lead roles.
