This series follows an unorthodox inner-city choir director in Detroit who is determined to find success by changing the lives of those in his community—one kid, one struggle, one song at a time. In the vein of Friday Night Lights and Fame, but infused with a hip hop/ gospel beat, this scripted one-hour drama series is inspired by the story of the Detroit Youth Choir, the AGT sensation that swept the country.
