Robert Peernock is a man on a mission to expose government corruption. But his plan takes a shocking turn when his wife, Claire Lawrence Peernock, turns up dead and his daughter, Natasha, is found clinging to life after what appears to be a terrible car accident. Authorities are puzzled by the scene of the accident; until Natasha recovers and recalls that she and her mother were beaten and tortured prior to the car crash.
