This Telugu film Bro is the remake of the 2014 Marathi film Happy Journey as well as the 2018 Malayalam film Koode. Bro is an uncommon take on the friendship that blooms between an introverted, distant brother and a bubbly, curious sister.
The film revolves around the story of Madhav and Subbu, a brother-sister duo who share an inseparable childhood that is eventually severed by the harshness of time and reality. Madhav is sent to Saudi Arabia at a very young age to work as a labourer by his parents so that his income can be used to cover the medical expenses of his terminally ill sister, Subbu. But things take a turn for the worst after Subbu passes away. What happens later forms the rest of the plot.
