Cristina is a transgender Honduran-American woman who was separated from her mother Alma when she was a small child. This event caused deeply rooted trauma for both mother and daughter. Twenty years later Cristina has managed to locate Alma and they will have the opportunity to reunite. Only since their separation, has Cristina affirmed her female gender. If she presents as her true self, will her mother embrace her?
