Caliphate

Caliphate is a Swedish series dubbed in English, that revolves around three young women whose lives are intertwined in a story of religious fundamentalism. SÄPO agent Fatima receives a message that Pervin, a young Swedish woman, is stuck in Raqqa with her daughter. Pervin’s husband Husam works for the ISIS. Pervin wants to escape from Raqqa with her daughter, to make a better life for the two of them. Pervin tells Fatima that Hussain and his group of jehadists are planning a jehadi attack on Sweden. A third woman, the young Sulle becomes fascinated by the dark world of the Islamic State. The drama swings between Sweden and Syria, and shows the horror at the centre of a terrorist organisation, and from the perspective of the three different women.
