During the Cultural Revolution, Xie Zhixin (Yuan Yue) learns that his son Xie Feng (Ma Xiaowei)’s lover Ulan (Zhang Xiaolei) is the daughter of his student, Lu Yan (Gao Ying), from many years ago.
