It’s 1974 and 17-year-old Jenny is a high school senior with a bright future ahead of her. She’s the captain of the cheerleading squad, has a great group of friends, and is dating the star of the Forest High basketball team. But when she discovers that she’s pregnant, everything changes. As she navigates the challenges of her senior year, her controlling boyfriend, and disappointed parents, Jenny finds solace in writing journal entries to her unborn child.
