Govinda Govinda is the official remake of the Telugu entertainer, Brochevaruvarura. The film has two parallel stories running. One has a young, aspiring filmmaker, Srinivas, who wants to make his dream debut film with leading actress Padmavathi. There is another track of a bunch of back-benchers who lead a happy-go-lucky existence, and decide to help their friend, Alamelu, run away from home.
Add to this another set of ruffians, led by a God-fearing honcho, who are on the lookout to strike it big. When these tracks merge, there is a fast-paced entertainer that keeps one guessing as to what happens next.
