Leonidas Koursoumis had worked diligently all his life in the publishing sector only to find himself unemployed and subsequently homeless a few years shy of retirement. Instead of leading him to despair, this misfortune armed him with courage and persistence, giving rise to a vision of a pioneering bookstore run by and for the homeless, which has been steadily gaining international recognition and respect.
