In the Quercy region of France, Marie-Paule Nadal inherits her father’s old farm property. But times are hard and the land is not very profitable. Unscrupulous neighbors are looking for any means to recover these 30 hectares: marry Marie-Paule, offer her a meager profit… But Marie-Paule’s heart is set on Pierre, a farmer to whom everything succeeds.
