The story is set in Buchivolu, a village in Rayalaseema. Sarpanch Kodandam and his wife, Chamundi, are a well-established political couple in the village. Gopal, a wanna-be social media influencer, is their only son, who is pampered. Accompanied by a few yes men, he looks at himself as a star with a fan following.
The series begins with Gopal threatening to jump off a water tank after learning his crush Surekha has gone missing from the village. People from the place gather at the water tank, and Gopal blames his father for being responsible. With his image and career at stake, Kodandam appoints sub inspector Vamshi to trace and bring the missing girl. Vamshi, with the hope of getting transferred from the village to a better place, finds Surekha. He convinces her with a lie and brings her back to the town. Besides all the chaos, the story suggests a political undertone centered around the dysfunctional water tank, which Gopal has managed to climb. While discharging his duties, what bond did Vamshi and Surekha develop? Will she forgive him for his lies? What happens to Gopal?
