Riverdale

The fifth season of Riverdale is here and streaming on Netflix. Adapted from the very famous Archie’s Comics, Riverdale is a dark and adult version of the comic book. After 4 successful seasons with storylines that have gone to many extremes, finally the kids of Riverdale High will be graduating. Even though the series was meant to be related to the comics, in no sense at this point the story is similar to the comics besides the names of the characters.

Season 5 of the show will see the famous crime and mystery solving youngsters graduating high school with the friends and families by their side. And just after that happens we see a leap of 7 years taking place in the show. The leap will show Archie coming back from a war, while Jughead is finalising the cover of his novel. On the other hand Betty is in the FBI now, finally putting her detective skills to use and help a bigger society. But her darkness still doesn’t leave her side; she faces some extreme situations during her time in the FBI. While all of them are having some sort of career, Veronica seems to have a new arm candy. She apparently is happily married to her new beau, Chad who works on Wall Street in a high profile job. Much like someone Veronica would go for. Riverdale by now is a ghost town as everyone is out and no one practically lives there. Archie makes an effort to bring all his childhood friends back together once again, to help revive whatever is left for the town and their beloved school. Toni will be someone who will be shown as staying back in the town, while she is pregnant and nobody knows what happened with her and Cheryl.

These are the things that are the result of a drastic 7 year change in everyone’s lives. From graduating high schools in one episode to married couples in the next, Season 5 is a complete package.
