Snowpiercer Season 2

Netflix’s Snowpiercer is a post-apocalyptic thriller set in a dystopian earth which has become a frozen hell. The show’s first season debuted in 2020 and is based on the 1982 French graphic novel ‘Le Transperceneige’. The show is also a reboot of the 2013 movie of the same name starring Chris Evans and directed by Bong Joon-ho.

The second season of the show was greenlit along with the first season and will be premiering on Netflix from 26th January 2021.

Synopsis:

After the events of season 1 which ended in a cliffhanger, revealing that the billionaire creator of the train ‘Snowpiercer’ – Mr. Wilford who was presumed dead all this time is actually alive. The second season will pick up from its predecessor and will follow Mr. Wilford’s attempt to get control of his train which is being taken over by the citizens of Snowpiercer.

The season will also follow Melanie and Layton who are preparing a civil war against the high class society of the train as they have suffered enough from their atrocities in these seven years. Another major plot of the season will be the changing climate of the Earth which means a new start for the civilisation, but with no hard proof, Melanie takes it on herself to make believe everyone on the train that humanity can restart again.

Snowpiercer’s second season is already looking stacked up with all the new additions to the cast and eye catching visuals in the trailer. Season 2 is filled with drama, fight scenes, emotions, war and greed. With Mr. Wilford trying everything to get rid of the lower class society and vice versa, who’ll come out on top?
