Space Force

Space Force is the name of the newly established sixth branch of the US Armed Forces. General Mark R Naird (Steve Carell) is chosen to head the new division. Mark moves with his wife (Lisa Kudrow) and kids to the remote Space Force headquarters in Colorado. At the headquarters, the General must lead an eccentric and colorful team of scientists, and galvanise them to bring America’s sidetracked space mission back to its position at the top of the world. The team must also work towards putting an American man on the moon after so many decades when the last man was sent on the moon. The show is seemingly based on the real-world US Space Force that was established in 2019 to protect US and allied interests in Space. But the Space Force series tackles the subject in a comedy and humour-filled way, to bring on the laughs. While General Mark works to marshal together his team of scientists to achieve the impossible, wife Maggie, who’s been content until now to live her life in the shadow of her husband’s career, is growing in another direction, adding to the fun and comedy.
