Mrs. Ismail is depressed and blind. Her oldest child dies and the romance of her daughter, Dewi, is opposed by the parents of her boyfriend, Lukman. This happens because Hendry, a Lukman family employee, wants Lukman to marry Rina. Dewi is determined to pay for the education of her younger brother, Johan.
