In the 13th year of the Yuanhe period of the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty issued a decree. Open the pagoda in Famen Temple where the finger bone relic of Sakyamuni Buddha is enshrined, and take the relic to Chang’an for enshrinement.
