Having arrived illegally in Spain, young Senegalese immigrant Bilal is pursued by the police. By chance he manages to escape, hiding out in an Andalusian manor house set in an immense garden. The runaway is discovered first by Carmina, the capricious and unpredictable lady of the house, then by the maid Lupe. Neither woman reveals her discovery to the other.
