Synopsis:
“The Upshaws” is a series that tells a very humane and mundane story of a black family’s struggles, victories and happiness. The series also brings back the quirkiness and chilled vibes of a black family. The show follows the family of Bennie Upshaw who works as a mechanic and is striving and trying hard to get something, so that his family survives. In his endeavours, he is supported by his wife and his two daughters. He also has two sons, along with his sister in law who cannot stop taunting him and make his life miserable.
Now one might think, this is sad but no, absolutely not. The show is filled with bouts of laughter in each scene that comes across. The description might sound sad, but leave it up to the Upshaws to turn this into a comedy.
